Am 26. Dezember veröffentlichten wir hier einen Text in Solidarität mit den Bildungsstreiks gegen die Wehrpflicht. Es folgt nun ein weiterer Text zum Thema Wehrpflicht und bewaffnete Verteidigung. Die Meinungen zu diesem komplexen Thema gehen in unserem Syndikat auseinander. Wir möchten diesen Text aber trotzdem veröffentlichen, da wir denken, dass wir als libertäre Bewegung auch Meinungsverschiedenenheiten aushalten sollten und Diskurse mithilfe von solidarischer Kritik führen können. Der Beitrag spiegelt dabei die Meinung eines Teils des Syndikats wieder.

If you follow the headlines in Germany, it seems that the world is becoming more dangerous by the day. And for many people in Germany and the so-called “West,” that is probably the case. Because it is not only the climate catastrophe, the erosion of hard-won labor and civil rights, and the increasingly authoritarian behavior of elected governments, including open attacks on representative democracy, that threaten people here. The possibility of open warfare and the hybrid war that is already taking place are also giving rise to discussions that many had hoped they would never have to have again.[1] This also applies to the discussion about the reintroduction of compulsory military service in Germany.

Reinstatement of dismissed trade unionists! – Dispute CNT Spain vs. NH Hotels

More than a year after the dismissal of two members of the CNT Spain works committee at NH Hotels Barcelona, including the union representative, the works committee remains active within the company and has achieved successes such as the installation of air conditioning in a hotel kitchen and the conversion of several fixed-term contracts into permanent ones.

The court hearing on the reinstatement of the dismissed colleagues is now approaching. Despite the company's threat that the union would not be able to maintain its actions for a year, until the trial began, these actions have not only been maintained but expanded—thanks in part to the support of many CNT Spain unions and several IKA unions (IKA = International Confederation of Labor, our international federation). Ahead of the court hearing on March 25, 2026, CNT Spain is calling for international solidarity to increase pressure on NH Hotels.

FAU at #39C3

At the end of each year, the Chaos Computer Club (CCC) holds the Chaos Communication Congress (C3) in Hamburg, which took place for the 39th time in 2025 (‘#39C3’). The topics range from technology and art to ethical and political issues, with lectures and workshops. The focus is on non-hierarchical ‘do-it-yourself’ activities, and so the event is organised almost exclusively by hackspaces, interest groups or organisations affiliated with the CCC.

Account closures targeting left-wing organizations: an attack on civil society

Political pressure from the US is likely to have been the trigger for GLS Bank and Sparkasse Göttingen closing the accounts of the left-wing solidarity organization Rote Hilfe in mid-December. The background to this is that the US government has classified the group, also referred to in the media as “Antifa Ost,” as a terrorist organization and placed it on a sanctions list. Rote Hilfe shows solidarity with anti-fascists who are being persecuted and imprisoned in connection with the so-called “Antifa Ost.” Apparently, the banks saw this as a risk and therefore decided to terminate their business relationships in order to avoid possible sanctions from the US against themselves.

Third distribution campaign and conclusion of our crowdfunding project in Myanmar

Over the past few months, we have raised €20,000, with a large portion of this sum being covered by the International Confederation of Labor (ICL-CIT).

This action is part of a broader campaign for better sanitary facilities, free menstrual products in factories, and the right to take paid sick leave during menstruation. Factory owners and clothing brands are being specifically confronted, and we have already achieved initial successes.

Together with FGWM, we were able to put enough pressure on the factory management and Hunkemöller at the Hang Kei factory to provide the workers with free menstrual products.

Introduction

The proportion of helpers on construction sites has risen sharply in recent years. This is not happening because the work on construction sites has become much easier or more automated, and largely consists of helper tasks (3).1No, skilled workers are classified as helpers in order to reduce their wages. This practice is primarily used by subcontractors for migrant workers, who often have less knowledge of the German legal system and sometimes lack secure residency status. As a result, they are even more vulnerable to exploitation2 .
