Eine der Referentinnen war Chamila vom Dabindu Collective in Sri Lanka. Die Vernetzung besteht weiterhin und wir arbeiten daran diese auszubauen.<\/p>\n

Gestern, dem 08.12.2019, versammelten sich N\u00e4herinnen, die im Dabindu Collective organisiert sind, in Vavuniya. Vavuniya ist eine Stadt in der Nordprovinz Sri Lankas, welche \u00fcberwiegend von der tamilischen Minderheit bewohnt wird und in welcher sich viele N\u00e4hfabriken befinden. Sie protestierten gegen sexuelle \u00dcbergriffe am Arbeitsplatz.<\/p>\n

We look forward to celebrating 16 Days activism for violence against women on the 8th of December in Vavuniya on collaboration with 150 women workers in Kilinochchi and Vavuniya and civil society as we have been doing annually. A special speech to motivate women workers on their basic rights and make them aware of such rights will be presented at the event. Women workers from Kilinochchi and Vavuniya will be sharing their personal experiences as well. We hope to invite the media to give us coverage during the program. In addition to that, we formed vital demands to be promoted on the day of the program and they are as follows.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
